I’ve been out of the country and under a rock–or more accurately, a blanket fort. I’m home now, not up for society, but expected back at work on Monday.
The week we were gone was rainy and chilly but lovely (sometimes even sunny–it was changeable). I packed only three things for the week: the get your shift together dress with leggings and undershirts; the Eileen Fisher cashmere sweatshirt dress; and a green cashmere crewneck sweater. I wore the Icebreaker tank dress with tights, t-shirt and hoodie for both flights. Mixed and matched this all around for being a tourist.
Because of the rain, I wore my boots the whole time I was gone and my little red raincoat, although the warm Nau one would have been a better choice.
I (barely) managed to get to Dashing Tweeds, just before closing and bought enough navy reflective tweed and magenta reflective tweed to make either cycling vests or–if I purchase some coordinating fabric–short jackets. As soon as I get some test muslin fabric, I’ll get started on those, which I’m looking forward to.
