The university sent texts and emails on Sunday morning to Fordham students warning them of severe weather conditions near the Rose Hill and Westchester Campuses.

The warnings, sent at 11:15 a.m., advised students to “avoid outdoor areas Rose Hill, Westchester next 3 hours severe ice conditions.”

There is a freezing rain advisory for the Bronx in effect until Sunday at 12 p.m. and until 1 p.m. in West Harrison, N.Y., where the Westchester campus is located, according to The Weather Channel.

The service also reports that a number of New York areas are under various advisories and warnings for the weather, which is expected to continue until the first half of Monday.
