PITBULL feat. Ke$ha – Timber

“Timber” is a song by American rapper Pitbull, featuring American recording artist Kesha. The song was released on October 7, 2013 as the lead single from Pitbull‘s second EPMeltdown. The song was produced by Dr. LukeCirkut, and Sermstyle, with additional production by Nick Seeley.

The song interpolates “San Francisco Bay” (1979) by Danish harmonica player Lee Oskar, which was written by Lee Oskar, Keri Oskar, and Greg Errico.

“Timber” features harmonica player Paul Harrington of RockwallTexas, who plays through the entire song. He was told to emulate harmonica player Lee Oskar of the band War.

“Timber” has successfully charted worldwide, topping the charts in ten countries including Sweden, Canada, Norway, Scotland, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Austria, Germany and achieve number two in the United States’ Billboard Hot 100, in Albania, in Finland, in Denmark, in Hungary and in South Korea.

Kesha filmed her scenes on November 5, 2013 while Pitbull filmed his scenes one week later on November 12, 2013. The video also features a cameo by The Bloody Jug Band, an Orlando-Based Americana Group, who perform on stage as the bar’s house band.

The music video first premiered onto Pitbull’s official Facebook page on November 24, 2013. It was released onto Pitbull’s official VEVO channel that same day. The video has received over 56 million views.
