José Álvaro Osorio Balvín (born July 7, 1985), known artistically as J Balvin, is a Colombian Reggaeton recording artist.
Balvin was born in Medellín, the largest city of Antioquia, where he became interested in rap, reggae, champeta and bachata at a young age.
He is known for his song “Yo Te Lo Dije.” He was featured on the Colombian version of “Blurred Lines” by Robin Thicke featuring Pharrell Williams & T.I..
“Tranquila” (English: Quiet and stylized as “TRANQUILLAH“) is a song recorded by Colombian reggaeton singer J Balvin, and included in his upcoming second studio album La Familia.
It was released as the second single of the album on November 12, 2012.
