BOBBY NOURMAND feat. DOC & Goodmorning – Mind

With multiple releases seeing over millions of plays on digital platforms collectively, going viral on Spotify and Shazam charts, and most hitting the #1 spot …

… on the Hype Machine multiple times over, the love of this quickly rising artist’s gifts have spilled from the blogosphere and into every other facet of the music industry.

From airtime on Pete Tong’s BBC RADIO 1 Essential mix, Capital Xtra’s Clubbers Guide with Ministry of Sound, LA’s premier KCRW, Sirius XM Chill, and iHeart’s Evolution Radio, …

… to print pieces in both DJMag and Mixmag as one of the “Hottest New Artists”, …

… it’s becoming overwhelmingly apparent that the world is rapidly catching up with what some already knew – Bobby Nourmand is ready to take the world by storm.

Bobby’s musical history pre-dates what most have come to know and love from him, beginning as a child learning to play multiple instruments, including the violin & saxophone.

As time went on, he found himself attracted to the glowing nightlife of New York City, which gave way to bookings at some of the largest, …

… and most respected clubs in Manhattan, Miami, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Barcelona, and Moscow.

Something wasn’t right, though, as he constantly felt the need to express more of himself through his artform.

Being confined to two decks and a tracklist of other people’s music hindered his ability to express himself and convey his musical prowess to audiences across the globe.

This point brings us to where most people became familiar with his artistry.

Worldwide attention came quickly as Bobby showcased his ability to take on what most would consider daunting, …

… as he reinterpreted not only some of the most iconic rock acts and songs, but also some of his personal musical heroes.

Taking the Beatles, The Doors, The Rolling Stones, and Simon & Garfunkel into this era of dance music paved the way for his first signed original, “S M O K I N’ J O E.”

Following up that successful release on The Magician’s Potion imprint is the quickly spreading “D E E P in NY.”

It’s already seen the #1 Most Popular Spot on The Hype Machine, Top placement on Shazam for several consecutive weeks, …

… multiple appearances on various viral charts on Spotify, and all over TV & Radio in the UK, with no signs of slowing down.

Dropping on The Magician’s Potion imprint, “M I N D” charged through the blogosphere, radio, and Hype Machine charts with ease, showcasing another big look from the LA-based Bobby Nourmand.

While its journey as a solo piece isn’t finished just yet, a trio of remixers have twisted it up with their respective styles.

Releasing on October 16th, Mind (The Remixes) is set to be a tasteful continuation of Bobby’s stellar work.

Three unique versions make up the pack, including a hard-hitting, club-friendly take from Mexico City-based Tom & Collins, who just recently delivered a remix for Duke Dumont and Gorgon City.

Rounding out the remixers are London-based Parx, and Belgium-born Limits, both of which offered up their own unique perspective on the original production from Bobby Nourmand.

“We’re liking what we’ve heard from Bobby Nourmand and POTION’s strong but sparing collaborative streak to date, keeping the bar for this North American talent reassuringly high for 2017”

– Dancing Astronaut

“…proving that Nourmand’s hot streak shows no signs of slowing down even after his landmark year in 2016, when DJ Mag and Mixmag both listed him as one of the ‘Hottest New Artists’ of the year.

Bobby Nourmand – MIND (feat. DOC & Goodmorning)

Ease back, fall in place and let it go
Then reload and let me know
Ease back, fall in place and let it go
Then reload and let me
Ease back, fall in place and let it go (and let it go)
Then reload (and then reload) and let me know (and let me know)
Ease back, fall in place and let it go (and let it go)
Then reload (and then reload) and let me.(mind)

Her man get mad ’cause she knew me
I let her recline in the two-seat
(Oh) Baby you’re too sweet like a lollipop ..
I met her at ..
.. address and the room key
I came in there the lights off
She know that I’m not here for the movie
The lust or emotion
Just try to keep up with the motion
Deep in the cut and it feel like I’m dipping a cup in the ocean
(Ease back)
When the times right
(Need that)
In the limelight
Nighttime, always under night sky
(Lean back boy girl, ’cause you’re my type).

Ease back, fall in place and let it go
Then reload and let me know
Ease back, fall in place and let it go
Then reload and let me
Ease back, fall in place and let it go (and let it go)
Then reload (and then reload) and let me know (and let me know)
Ease back, fall in place and let it go (and let it go)
Then reload (and then reload) and let me.

I wanna be the object of your affection, baby
Everything I wanted you to .., baby
And I won’t switch, because you can make a broke (broke) feel rich in a recession, baby
And that’s why I text you crazy
You look so good and you’re texture crazy
Got an ex but I guess that he left you to me to apply the deal like pressure, baby
You can love this, you can hate this
I’mma toast to it, get the waitress
You got a certified place on a playlist
You’re out of this world, I’m on a spaceship, c’mon.

Dem ain’t fine like this, cut ’em off
You gettin’ money over here, come across ..
And .. on the beat, he the underboss.

Then reload (and let me know)
Come across ..
And .. on the beat, he the underboss
Then reload (and let me know)
Come across ..
And .. on the beat, he the underbosss.(mind)
