DJ Gina Turner (Gina-Marie Van Scheppingen, née Gina-Marie Fccács, 31 July 1984) is an American disc jockey (DJ).

Gina is one half of Nouveau Yorican, a musical side project with her husband Laidback Luke, and half of the DJ duo Staccato.

She is also the head of Turn It Records.

Gina grew up in New York and made her name as a radio DJ on 88.9 WERS and 99.9 WECB in Boston before turning to house music.

She has a degree in Audio Production and Radio Broadcasting from Emerson College.

She has worked with artists such as Soulwax, Steve Lawler, Tiefschwarz, DJ AM, Steve Aoki, Justice, Uffie, Chromeo, Sinden,Diplo, Switch, Them Jeans, …

… Tommie Sunshine, Eli Escobar, Flosstradamus, Spank Rock, and Simian Mobile Disco, …

… and played throughout Europe and North America as well as shows in Juárez, Mexico, Norway and New Mexico.

Gina continues her career as a radio DJ despite also DJing in clubs, and has had shows on Scion, iHeartRadio and Underground FG.

Most recently, she has had a show on BPM (Sirius XM) called BPM with Gina Turner.

Gina’s husband, Laidback Luke announced on the maiden voyage of Holy Ship! that he was engaged to Gina Turner … 

… and they married on October 1, 2012 at The View, Piermont, New York.

She resides in both New York and the Netherlands.

Gina practices yoga, especially Vinyāsa Flow, in which she has an instructor certification.

She has practiced yoga with fellow artists Diplo and Major Lazer.

She also has a strong Ashtanga background.
