Winter Scenes at a real Loco Yard

After several locomotives having returned from visits to other railways, Ropley loco yard is back to looking full again.

Ropley certainly had a “winter” feel to it, with the locomotives about to go into hibernation until December.

BR standard 9F class 92212 had been separated from it’s BR1F tender (above); presumably to save space in the engine shed whilst work is being carried out on the engine.

The puddles allowed for some nice reflections, to add some sparkle to an otherwise flat winter scene.

We will finish this series of blog posts from Ropley next week.  In the meantime a model locomotive review will be published tomorrow, followed up by a linked post on Saturday.  Thanks for reading Locoyard followers 🙂
