Fellow twitterer Nick Littlewood has been kind enough to send these photographs of a Princess at Paddington Station.  I strongly advise followers of this blog on twitter to follow Nick  (@NickPLittlewood), as he always has something interesting to post!  Nick has also since contributed photographs of GWR King class 6000 King George V so be sure to check out King of Kings – 6000 King George V too!

Princess was built in London 150 years ago and has returned on display at Paddington Railway Station.  Princess was revealed at London Paddington on St David’s Day and will be at the station until April, so there is plenty of time to catch a glimpse of her if you are passing that way.  Named after Alexandra of Denmark (who had married Albert Edward, Prince of Wales and later Edward VII); Princess works on the Ffestiniog Railway pulling tourists, although she used to earn her living from hauling slate from the quarries of Blaenau Ffestiniog to Porthmadog in North Wales.
