Engineering a New World

Something Can Be Done About It

Scientology Video Site Revisited

Scientology Video Blog

In looking around all of the different videos that are now available on Scientology today, I decided that I’d best revamp a bit the Scientology Video blog that I’ve got to reflect some of the new video content that’s been posted.

See, last year, when I was chatting with someone on the subject of Scientology and wanted to give them a taste of it, there was just very little I could really send them to that would get them a good idea of what it was all about.  These days you can order a free booklet on Scientology which they’ll send right out to you, or just browse the literally hours of video content that’s now been put on-line.

Or, if you feel like diving in slightly deeper, there are free on-line Scientology courses you can take in the beginning Scientology materials.

Figured I’d make mention of it!

p.s.  And yes, that is Google Chrome you see in the little screenshot.  I’m having a Windows Day right now to take a brief hiatus from my SuSE 11 desktop — so I’m giving the little blue browser a chance .

Would you possibly consider the concept that the people you are representing are taking advantage of good people who want to make the world a better place?

Is it possible that there are a group of people out there who care about you, that are not Scientologists?

    Winston –

Thanks for your comment. First off, I’ll entertain just about any concept. It’s important to thinking, I think. But, being someone who is himself interested in making the world a better place, and having worked with my own two hands at doing just that, and after seeing the results myself, I don’t need much convincing one way or the other.

I have seen people who needed help with drug addiction, need help with their families or their relationships, who needed help with their own personal self-esteem and pride or productivity, and then got that help using Scientology.

I’ve been one of those people too. I know quite a bit about Scientology – and know precisely how it works and why it works.

It’s really some pretty nifty stuff.

You ask if there are people out there that care about me that aren’t Scientologists. Well, I would hope there are! I totally and utterly respect anyone of any religious creed (or even one who’s not religious) if they are indeed really and truthfully interested in helping others. I’ve met and befriended plenty of Christians, Sikhs, Moslems, Jews and even Irish druids. And in those know a lot of very fine people with very good intentions. So yes, I’d say there are other people that care about other people — and I’m really glad there are.

I think you missed Winston’s point. He was asking you if you would consider that the PEOPLE that you are representing are taking advantage of the GOOD PEOPLE who want to make the world a better place.

I don’t think he is disputing that you find the tech valid or the aim honorable – only that maybe the people running your church have allowed corruption to take over.

Is this not a possibility? Just look at the government. Good idea gone very bad. Some people asleep, some awake and aware.

Laura – thanks for your question, and I feel like you honestly want to know what I think.

Personally, I have been involved with Scientology at many different levels and have had the good fortune to deal with public Scientologists, with staff members in local churches, and with Church management as well. So, it actually isn’t a matter, for me, of “do I feel” or “would I consider” or whatever.

I know these people and I know their intentions. They are people who want to help, and who want to see people do better.

They are very able people as a whole, and the grand majority of them could be doing something out in the world to make a bunch of money for themselves, but are instead dedicating their lives to helping other people using Scientology.

So, I don’t at all doubt their intentions or objectives. And if you do, you would probably be best to go and talk to one of them and see what you think. They’re honestly the coolest, most genuine people in the world and are my friends. So, if you want to know what I think about that, that’s what I think from my own personal observation.

I’m sorry I did not use a working email. With Spam these days you never know. Sorry about that – didn’t know you’d respond that way.

No problem — I’ve just had about 10 zillion “comments” from some other fellow, which really aren’t comments at all but are efforts to upset me or to spread upset, rumors and general yukkiness. So, if you have questions for me, I totally want to answer them personally, as you seem like someone who’s pretty genuine and just wants to know what the deal is — and I respect that.

Well thanks turbotad. I don’t know if what I said upset you – I just am hoping that the good people like you can stop the bad things from happening. Look into what I mentioned. Maybe you can make a difference.
    All the best

Laura – no problem, and no — I think it’s impossible for any good-intentioned person to get upset when another good-intentioned person has honest questions they want answered.

Just drop me a comment some time with an email box I can answer, and I’ll string a line to you for anything else you need. And yes, I’m definitely working my tail off to make a difference in my sphere of action.

    Thanks for your comments.
