Cemia “Ce Ce Dove” Acoff Dove murder 3/27/2013 Olmsted Township, OH *Victim found stabbed to death, no suspects in custody*

Cemia Acoff
Cemia Dove

I am horrified to see how this murder has been written about in the press so far. Cemia Acoff lived her life as a female, even though she was born a male. I know and understand that many people do not like this or believe in this lifestyle, but it was her lifestyle, nonetheless. She was brutally murdered, and did NOT deserve this, regardless of someone else’s beliefs. Rather than live her life as an overall happy person, she had to deal with the horrible way she was treated. And now, being brutally murdered, it is even worse. The newspaper knew she lived as a female, yet continually referred to her as a man and with a male name I find that horribly disrespectful. Cemia needs to be remembered as a PERSON, not a gender. The Cleveland Plain Dealer needs to work on their people skills, and human skills. I am sure if the author of the articles were referred to as ‘stupid reporter’ rather than his name, he would be offended. Remember Cemia for the person she was and for the life she lost. It is tragic and senseless. It should not have happened. The article made her sound less than human or deserving of justice. Not once was justice mentioned. I hope that there will be justice for Cemia and all of her loved ones. Even if they did not approve of her lifestyle, they loved her.

  3. I’m watching a Fatal Attraction episode called Deadly Secret about Cece Dove now and it’s good to hear the story from her family’s perspective and the law enforcement personnel. No matter what a person’s choices are, they’re still human and they deserve justice and kindness. It’s so sad that her quest for love possibly exposed her to some predator.
