Emeli Sandé hangs on to album No.1 with ‘Our Version of Events’

Emeli Sandé has stayed on top of the UK album chart for the second week running.

Our Version of Events has now been at the summit for a total of five weeks in 2012.

The LP has now sold over 647,000 copies, and is just over 6,000 behind Adele’s 21 in the best-seller list so far this year.

Paloma Faith is also a non-mover at two with Fall to Grace.

Bloc Party’s latest album Four is this week’s highest new entry at three. The Darkness score their second UK Top 10 album with Hot Cakes at four.

Jessie Ware’s debut LP Devotion enters at five.

The Black Keys’ El Camino climbs a massive 43 places to its highest position to date at seven.

Julio Iglesias’s ‘Best Of’ collection 1 enters at 18, followed by X Factor star Aiden Grimshaw’s debut LP Misty Eye at 19.

Owl City lands at 34 with new album The Midsummer Station.
