After the hectic weekend of getting the RV cleaned out and put into storage, I figured we might just crash tonight and recuperate.  However, hubs is not one to let grass grow under his feet when there is a project to be done.  Tonight’s project was to install a bathroom door.

You see, since this house was a foreclosure, the prior owner sold all of the interior doors.  The only room doors left are a couple of pocket doors, and I’m surprised they weren’t gone, too.  Up to this point, what little bit of privacy we’ve had in the bathroom has been afforded by a bedsheet “curtain.”  When I was little I think either we had a bedsheet bathroom “door”, or one of my relatives did…it’s a bit of nostalgia that I can do without 😮

Now, after an evening’s work by hubby, we have a beautiful bathroom door!  Wow, I love being married to a handy guy!!  In case you’re wondering about the door frame, apparently the previous owners had a dog who liked to chew – the frame will need replacing.

While Jim was busy with the door, K. and I had a challenge of our own.  She has been shooting video with her camcorder for a project that’s due Thursday.  We needed to transfer the files from her camcorder to the PC for editing, but that required a little docking station that came with her camcorder.  Unfortunately, it was packed away when we moved, and we had to locate it tonight — talk about looking for a needle in a haystack!  We were frantically opening boxes, scratching through the contents, looking for something the size of a deck of cards!  Finally, Miss Eagle Eyes saw a box in the very back corner of the guest room that said it contained “computer parts”.  After Jim unburied the box, we found the docking station tucked inside the bin for our shredder — yeah, that’s where I would have expected to find it 😮
