Blog #972: Toy Reviews: Transformers Nano Block Motion Bumblebee & Optimus Prime

Transformers Nano Block Motion Bumblebee & Optimus Prime

0g1I picked these up on sale, but they were still on the expensive side.  I know you can’t really tell from the photos, but the robot modes are about the height of a AA battery, so they are pretty small.  The blocks are tiny.  The vehicles can be charged from a base and controlled from a smart phone.  Problem is, since I don’t read Japanese, I have no idea how that works.  They are pretty cool though.

I really like Bumblebee.  He looks perfect in vehicle mode and his robot mode isn’t bad either.  One interesting thing about it.  Most building block toys that have stickers have them cut when they take up multiple blocks.  Not the case here.  The Autobot sticker takes up several blocks so you would have to take it off to disassemble.

Optimus Prime is perfect in both modes.  He even has his gun in robot mode.  I kind of wish his grill was silver instead of white, but not huge deal there.  Sometime I need to see if there is a video online explaining how these work.

Thanks for reading!

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
