I wanted to update the scenario about the alternate history of Germany winning the First World War. Three changes by Germany in their policy not two would have created the 1914 victory, and a New World Order would have emerged. The following are the historical changes, and the New World Order under the German Kaiser.

Kaiser Wilhelm leads Germany to victory in World War I in 1914. This Alternate History has three changes embedded to make such a victory possible. One would be the Kaiser working with The British Empire before the war in containing and isolating France, and Germany’s naval threat to Britain would be a containment of the true traditional foe in France. The Kaiser was a blood relative of the British Monarchy as grandson to Queen Victoria. The Kaiser should have been the friend of convenience  to Britain to appease her to stay out of the war long enough when conflict on the continent would place Germany at war with Russia then France. The British passive government in 1914 did not care to enter the war until violation of Belgium neutrality, but the two governments could have worked a deal with Belgium to allow invasion of France and keep Belgium out of the war and the British naval forces would have implemented a blockade on France with Germany’s access to the sea for trade and fighting the land war with British naval assistance. Germany could have invaded France with amphibious forces. Germany’s direct challenge to the British Empire was eased in this alternate history. The first change would have kept Britain out of the war at first, because the British had to develop a land army and industrial base to conduct the war against Germany. Any delay would have or appeasement would have insured defeat in France early and Russia would collapse thereafter. The United States would have never entered the war.

A Victorious Germany in 1914 AND Impact on the America’s Influence in the 20th Century

The second change would be the actions of the Austria-Hungary in the quick retaliation measures against Serbia after the assassination of the Archduke Ferdinand. The 25 days of declaring war was outside the time of global understanding of action in the Balkans. Russia went into mobilization in a faster pace than Germany anticipated to invade East Prussia after the declaration of war was announced by Germany against Russia. Germany pushing for a faster resolution would have not allowed Russia to mobilize, and Germany would have more troops available and easily defeated Russia with a first strike if Austria would have acted in 15 days instead of 25 days. Germany would have won the war on both fronts by Christmas. A new world order would have taken place. Millions would have not perished in a pro-longed war.

The third change would have brought Italy into the war for the Central Powers as agreed to before the outbreak of war. Russian defeat would still produce a communist evolution style revolution, but the Italian alliance would have prevented the horrors of warfare and the spoils of defeating France to appease Italian frontier expansion and possible colonization of former French colonies. The recipe of fascism would have never had Italy for the breeding ground of Mussolini and would definitely  stop a political footprint for the rise of Hitler.

With a new historical record in place…What would the world look like 100 years under a victorious Germany in 1914?

The positive impact of a German victory….

Millions of people would have not died in a long war of stalemate in trench warfare and occupation of nations.

Rise of Fascism would have failed to rise in a Germany victory in World War I

The Second World War and Holocaust would not have occurred with Hitler in command.

The negative impact of German victory….

The fall of the British Empire and freedom would be endangered globally. Britain becomes vassal state of Germany

The Kaiser would fall from his leadership role by the military

The United States would be isolationist and never realize the full superpower status

Germany would have to enter a second war against Russia, and the holocaust would be in the Balkans instead of Jewish focus under Hitler

Germany would be the first nuclear armed power.

United States would be forced to fight Germany because of nuclear threat by the 1950’s.

Germany would destroy all competition to unite the world in a world order and police state with chaos and draconian methods to destroy freedom and opposition.

Germany would collapse from within by the 21 st Century by 2025, and industrial revolution and science did advance technological capacity of mankind. The technological revolution would fail to develop in a chaotic world order until the collapse of Germany.

100th Anniversary would be remembered as a German victory in 1914 from an empire in a last gasp of militarism.
