I wish you all a very happy and successful year 2013!
Finally, I found some time to post all the lovely recipes that I’ve cooked for friends or myself over the last month or so. My Bachelor thesis is almost done and I’m back for more bloggin 😉
Two days ago I had a massive craving for something sweet so I made some lovely waffles!
For about 5-10 waffles (easier to make in large batches so you’re very welcome to scale this up!): 100g butter at room temperature 100g sugar 4 eggs 200g wholemeal plain flour 100-200ml milk some vanilla sugar and cinnamon serve with morello cherries and cocoa powderCream butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl and add one egg at a time. Whisk together, sift in the flour and add some vanilla sugar (about 2 teaspoons) and cinnamon (1-2 teaspoons).
Add milk to make a a runny batter.
Preheat the waffle iron, add the batter and bake each waffle until golden brown.
In the meantime, heat some morello cherries in their juice in the microwave. Serve waffles with cherries, sauce and some sifted cocoa powder, enjoy!
