Scrapbooking and spa weekend!

Posted by Cat Ramos

I had a super fantastic weekend…too bad it was so short! 😀

Saturday – I was finally able to visit the Rekindled Moments store on Taft Avenue. The owners were gracious enough to accommodate me, eventhough their Saturday store hours end at 3pm (we were there way past 3pm). I was salivating as soon as I entered the shop! I didn’t know where to start. It took all my willpower to steer clear of their paper stash. >_< I still have pending orders with some online sellers, and I cannot buy more paper until I get those orders. I originally planned to buy distressing inks ONLY but I ended up with P3,000 worth of merchandise 😀 Aside from 1 block of distressing inks, I got clear stamps, chipboard letters, 12×12 page protectors (YAY!!!!!), rhinestones in different designs, and letter stickers. Jane, the owner, also gave me LOTS of scrapbooking tips and tricks.

It was great that my boyfriend didn’t mind that I took a long time shopping — he was having his long chat with Claude (Jane’s hubby, and owner of the sports shop in the same building) about badminton. Incidentally, the Great Toys Online shop is also located in the same building, but Malvin (the owner) was not around at that time. The reason why I was able to drag my bf to RM was because I told him he *might* see Malvin there, and they can finalize that thing they’re talking about regarding Japinoy.com 😀

I will definitely go back to Rekindled Moments — Jane said she will have new stocks coming soon, I want to be one of the first ones to grab them! 😀

Sunday – My boyfriend treated us to a day at the spa! It was our 2nd time to visit Ace Water Spa; this time, we went with his mom and 3 cousins. We wanted to be early so we could maximize the 4-hour ticket. I so love this spa! The water massage systems are great. Here are my favorites:

– Lazy river
– Bubble massage
– Rainfall acupuncture
– Buttocks massage
– Head and shoulder massage
– Water Falls
– Hot herbal pools – I love all of them, but my favorite is the hottest one – lavender pool
– Sauna

This time, I was finally brave enough to take a dip in the ice cold pool. It wasn’t so bad as I thought! 😉

For only P550 per visit, you get to use all of their facilities for 4 hours. You only need to bring your own fitted swimwear and towel – the rest is provided by the spa. The locker area is secure and the showers are very clean (I love the candy-scented body wash). At the end ofyour visit, you get a coupon for a complimentary soup — I didn’t ask for my soup; the coupon goes straight to my scrapbook! 😀
