Quilt finish

The wiring is done.  My  house is slowly getting unpacked.  And…. I finished a quilt for one of the SC ladies.  I would call this an issue quilt.  The piecing is perfect.  It is a two quilt, quilt.  One quilt on the front and one quilt on the back.  These are difficult to do (not impossible) which is why I call them issue quilts.

This is the front.

I thought it should have minimal quilting to keep it soft and fluffy.   Now trucks travel through the town so there are houses and trees around the outside border.

Supposed to look like a child drew them.

I did a SID around the checker sashing.  The trucks have wheels that are three dimensional and thick so I simply went around those then around the trucks.

The blocks are sorta small so not a lot of quilting was needed.  Here’s a look at the back.

The quilt is on its way home so I’m still waiting to see if she likes it.
