This past week, I had the unbelievable chance to visit St. Kitts. While there, I took advantage of an early morning awakening to witness the Sunrise. It was beautiful and enchanting to be able to watch the beauty that came up with the Sun. It was a great week spent with my family on a much needed vacation!
Another opportunity that I recalled when thinking of this week’s challenge, was a trip I made last Summer to Bannerman Island in New York to do some Night Photography. As the Sun began to set, I captured this shot.
We spent the night after shooting, in tents camping out!
When we awoke the next morning, we got to see the Island and the Castle in a whole new light. The Castle itself is pretty damaged from years of weathering, but its beauty still shines through, regardless.

Oh god, so stunning. I like second picture the most. The dim sunset and gradation sky, the reflection, and shadow tree is just perfect. Well, maybe I just like silhouette picture after all.

I like the way you’ve caught the sun shining through one of the windows in the last shot. It really fits this week’s theme of sun as well as showing off the form of the windows in this remaining wall of the castle.
