Returning: Dance Moms

US Reality series Dance Moms returns for its third season next month, ahead of an Australian tour.

Instructor Abby Lee will be heading down with her ‘dance superstars Maddie, Mackenzie, Nia, Kendall and of course their mums ‘ holding master classes and meeting fans at special high tea events.

The popular and polarising series Dance Moms explores the world of competitive dance, where mothers push their daughters to the extreme, while vicariously living out their own dreams through their children.

Set in Pittsburgh’s renowned Abby Lee Dance Company, owned and operated by the famously outspoken Abby Lee Miller, the series follows children’s early steps on the road to stardom and their mothers who are there for every rehearsal, performance and bow, all under the discerning eyes of, Abby Lee.

These mothers are driven, fierce and at times ruthless, spending thousands of dollars, some even mortgaging their homes – all for the chance to turn their daughters into stars. For these Dance Moms its high stakes, high drama in the intense pursuit of winning the National Dance titles and being the standout star.

With the commanding Abby Lee calling the shots, these Dance Moms will do whatever it takes to make sure their daughter shines on stage.
