Buried deep in the schedule next week is a re-screening of the shortlived saucy animated series by Stan Lee, Stripperella.
Voiced by Pamela Anderson, Stripperella is a superhero / secret agent who works as a stripper named Erotica Jones. Amongst her superpowers are her killer thighs and parachute-serving hair.
The show is full of double entendres and full frontal (animated) nudity and has previously screened on both SBS and Nine.
It has a repeat screening at 2:25am on the morning of Sunday November 9th on SBS with the first of 13 eps.
It’s a shame none of our media bothered to ask Pammy Ann about this while she was in Australia.
Stripperella: Beauty And The Obese (Part 1) – Pamela Anderson provides the voice of Erotica Jones who is stripper by night and superhero Stripperella by even later at night. Stripperella is the star attraction at the Tenderloins strip club. Besides her more obvious qualities, she has a heart of gold, a fearless nature and a passion for the environment. We first see her saving a baby from the lion pit at the zoo. Meanwhile, on a catwalk somewhere, a skinny Russian supermodel suddenly balloons to gigantic proportions, the eighth supermodel to fall victim to the same fate. Anything’s better than the test pattern…
Sort of, Mark: there’s a lot of comedy repeats programmed between SOS and WeatherWatch on Sat/Sun. For instance, along with Stripperella on the 9th, there’s also an episode of Drawn Together and an ‘encore’ of Wednesday’s NEWStopia. (Geez, I go apes**t with the links, eh!)
I’ll probably watch it. Im meant to be working at that time but come on – if you’re at work at that time you’re not really working…
2:25am? Programming for loners and the unemployed (me included?)
🙂
