I had recently a cheap Australian Cabernet-Shiraz, and it looked and tasted just like a Pinot noir. 🙂 So I wouldn’t dare say it’s a Pinot when it comes to an inexpensive wine. Maybe it’s made from 4 or 5 grape varieties and one of them is actually Pinot noir. Now I’m drinking an organic Malbec (Michel Torino Cuma Malbec 2010), its back label says it contains much less sulfites than “conventional” wines.

The more I think about it, the more I’m thinking that it is a blend that is done in a lighter style.
