RAMALLAH, (PIC)– The Palestinian prisoner society said 40 prisoners detained in section 10 of Megiddo jail suffer from very tragic incarceration conditions.

The lawyer of the society revealed, following a visit to the prison, that the Megiddo jailers provide four loaves of bread for all the detainees in this section every day and two small cartons of milk for each 15 of them.

Those prisoners are also deprived of getting enough clothing and blankets, and their suffering in this regard gets worse every day because of Israel’s ongoing arrest campaign in the West Bank.

In another context, the lawyer said that the Megiddo administration still refuses to release prisoner Mahmoud Hussein, from Jenin, despite his suffering from unilateral paralysis (hemiplegia) as a result of his exposure to a serious bullet injury that damaged parts of his spine, spleen and intestines.

Prisoner Hussein was jailed about one month ago and he is in dire need for special medical care outside the prison.
