First of all I want to take a moment and thank you for taking time to read our Blog. I have plans to use this forum to communicate with you more often. It has been a very busy year with a lot of things that needed attention this last spring and summer. Conversely taking time to communicate with you, though extremely important, hasn’t availed itself….time that is.
That will change. We want you our wonderful children and families of CYT Spokane to be in the know with what is happening with your organization. This blog is one of the ways to acheive this. As far as being in the know I bring you this……
I know everyone has been waiting to hear what our Winter Show will be. We will be annoucing this at the first rehearsals of Show in a Week, next week. So if you want to be the first to hear what the show will be you will need to register and participate in Show in a Week. Please go our website page explaining about this years Show-in-a-Week and register.
There is a tremendous amount of work that goes into choosing shows. It is no easy task. All aspects have to be looked at and considered. These include things such as the cost of royalities, sets, costumes, demographics, ability to sell tickets, CYT Values, and so on and so forth. The ability to look at shows and get the required data takes time and research and therefore can’t be done quickly. It also takes a great deal of time to aquire the rights to do a show. Due to leadership changes this last year, we weren’t able to get this out to you as early as we would of liked….but we have a show and will announce it at rehearsals for Show in a Week…..so register today and particpate in this fun event. We are very, very excited.
Auditions for Show in a Week are this Saturday, August 20th at 3:30 for kids and 4:30 for Adults and Teenagers. We will see you there.
