Freetown Police announce parking and traffic plan for fireworks and parade

The Freetown Police Department has established temporary traffic and parking restrictions in the Assonet Village for the fireworks and parade.

The restrictions are necessary to ensure passage of emergency vehicles and to maintain the orderly flow of traffic. The restrictions will be in effect from 6pm-11:45pm on Tuesday, July 3rd for the fireworks event, and from 9:30am-12noon on Wednesday, July 4th for the parade event.

Vehicles parked in posted “no parking” areas, will be tagged and towed if necessary. If, in the event of cancellation due to inclement weather, the restrictions will be applied to the dates and times that the events are rescheduled.
