The clarks (of the world)
So lets look at these people.
Clarks:
David Hyde Pierce (TV and some movies)
Diane Keaton (actress movies)
(the clothes, right down to the shoes/boots. she talks about everyone else)
Woody Allen (comedian film maker)
Jimi Hendrix (musician)
The first thing you might say, ‘wait a minute, not a introvert, look at the stage prescence’. Look at the interview, clarks will be as abstract as can be, they are also the truely creative ones ( of the three).
Prince (musician)
(If you had never seen Prince before and saw this interview first, I doubt if you would believe the difference.)
Bob Newhart(comedian and actor)
Richard Linklater (director and writer)
Starting with Slacker, his movies speak to the clarklike view of the world.
Uma Thurman(actress)
The posture, the clothing, the way of relating to the world, this is a clark.
Flo (Progressive Insurance actress)
(the shoes, watch for the shoes. also excessive hand motion)
Steven Wright(comedian)

[…] I mean it. I know it’s a bit of an oxymoron talking about presence when referring to a clark. Watch her perform. You can see she is not quite of this world. She is in the place where […]

Holy freakin’ badword! OK so I liked you already when I got to know you last week. I meandered around the blog. I discovered what I already knew, that I was a Clark. AND NOW THE ONE PAGE I DID NOT READ was this one. YOU MUST see my post from today. PLEASE, I hate begging, I take it back, not really, http://breaktheparentingmold.com/2013/03/28/egotistical-neurotic-or-depressed-how-do-you-choose/
besides that, my post for Tuesday may or may not contain Jimmy Hendrix, long story. AND I watch Bob Newhart obsessively. (We are leaving Woody and Diane out because they relate to the aforementioned post) You have now earned very high esteem in my placement of “smartest people I know” so far there are only 3, now there are 4. I bow to you.

Of course I don’t mind, I am honored. As a matter of fact, I will do likewise. If my child is occupied or sleeping I will happily call in. I was already thinking about it. But who can refuse a direct invitation. My son, who is not a Clark, would not be good “background music.”

@Jen
whatever works for you…we have found that the ‘live’ aspect of the call is totally beneficial for stumbling upon aspects of the Doctrine that manage to hide in the rhetorical corners of the various Posts and pages and such
