Community Recovery the FRC way

This section will focus on how the Flowerdale Recovery Committee – note the lack of Community in their title – are assisting the community to recover, and the progress – or lack thereof – of the Flowerdale Recovery Committee’s Recovery Plan. We will be identifying any issues which may arise in relation to the Flowerdale Recovery Committee’s “Grand Plan” for Flowerdale, which as we all know by know, doesn’t involve Hazeldene except in situations where it suits the Flowerdale Recovery Committee – and, as we know, the only issue which has suited eventuated because Flowerdale did not  have the land needed – or so they said – we believe it eventuated because Hazeldene would not have needed to use the building they have planned for Hazeldene, as Hazeldene would have had its own fully functional and usable centre when the Jarara Community Health Centre was rebuilt.

In this section, we will draw attention to the lack of progress, thus far, in execution of the Flowerdale Recovery Committee’s Recovery Plan and will identify methods in which action can be taken if and when this is required.

A copy of the Flowerdale Recovery Committee’s Recovery Plan can be accessed through Scribd. We had placed it here, but due to its size and the time it takes to load, have removed it. As we know now (refer this comment), most of the areas in this plan were decided on, without any input from the King Parrot Valley Community, long before the first Flowerdale Forum – and we have a copy of the four YouTube videos where this plan is elucidated on, in a lecture on “Flowerdale, the Social Media Case Study”, should anyone want to see them – with nearly all areas in the Recovery Plan, including the postcode, being “spoon fed” to the community, in order that their chosen areas for their new Flowerdale, be validated for inclusion in the plan.

As a community, we were such fools, weren’t we ?
We gave them an inch and they kept going and going …
for well over the proverbial mile and, now, it seems we may not be able to stop them,
as, with succession planning being mentioned, it seems they think we want them to continue !

As if …
Not very likely …
