The Series 16 won an award from Industrial Design magazine for superior design in the business and scientific category. Although it was software compatible with the PC, the Series 16 had a proprietary expansion bus.

Pronto claimed that the Transportable Solution was the first portabe to offer an 80186 CPU, but others had it at about the same time.
