My vision of the world is one that is free from this condition. Many programs have been created to bring awareness to breast cancer–Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Relay for Life, Think Pink. In this effort to help, I feel that it has brought attention to something that we would like to let go of.
As a person who has been diagnosed with breast cancer (8 years ago) and went through the standard treatment at that time–2 surgeries, chemo therapy, radiation, hormone therapy–I would like to offer another way of looking at breast cancer.
What if we walked this journey with our eyes wide open and our hearts ready to receive all the good that comes from such a situation?
What if we all supported each other lovingly and looked at the dis-ease as a message to create ease? And with each diagnosis, we know our wholeness?
What if we used ritual and loving kindness to transform the statistics and our own experience?
