Last rites today for L. A. Cassidy
Services at Phoebus Methodist Church at 3 PM; burial in Oakland
Final rites for Lewis Ashton Cassidy, 56, who died Saturday morning at Dixie hospital, will be conducted at 3 PM today at Phoebus Methodist Church. The Rev. George Sterling, pastor, assisted by the Rev. Jack Cunningham, pastor of church of Christ, Hampton, will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be W. S. Benthall, John Kelly, Ralph Benthall, Joe Vaden, William C. Shackelford and Caryel Monk. Honorary pallbearers will be friends of the family.
A paperhanger and resident of Phoebus the past few years, Cassidy is survived by his wife, Mrs. Pearl C. Cassidy; four children, two sisters, three brothers. He lived at 312 South Curry Street.
