JOHN H. KLICH

HAMPTON – John H. Klich, 83, died Tuesday, April 30, in his home.

Mr. Klich retired as a supervisor from Newport News Shipbuilding in 1972.

He was a native of West Virginia and had been a Peninsula resident most of his life. Mr. Klich was a member of Ivy Memorial Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn M. Klich; three sons, John H. Klich Jr. and Phillip Klich of Hampton and Jerry Klich of Newport News; a stepson, Larry Allen of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Helen Wilson and Elenora Taylor of Newport News; a brother, George Klich of Newport News; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 8:30 tonight at Lawrence B. Wood Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Parklawn Memorial Park by the Rev. Gene C. Fant.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society, 618-C J. Clyde Morris Blvd., Newport News 23601; or Ivy Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund, 240 Marcella Road, Hampton 23666.
