M. Sgt. Skibicki

M. Sgt. Edward Joseph Skibicki, (USAF, Ret.), 68, 25 Crestwood Circle, Hampton, died Sunday in Hampton General Hospital after a short illness.

A native of Chicago, he was a Hampton resident 38 years, and a veteran of WWII and Korea.

He retired from the Air Force in 1957 after 30 years service.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Thomas W. Barnes of York County, Mrs. William T. Carrott of Horton, Kan., Mrs. Eugene V. McManus and Mrs. Thomas A. Buzzard, both of Hampton; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 2pm Wednesday in R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home Chapel by Chaplain (Maj.) John B. McMahon.

Burial, with military honors, will be in the Phoebus section of Hampton National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at the funeral home.
