Isabel Glogar

Isabel Glogar is an architect and urban researcher living in Vienna, Austria. She is director of OFHAUS – the Office for Housing and Urban Studies. Since 2012, she has been teaching at the department of urban design at the TU Vienna and, in 2014, she was a Visiting Teacher at the AA School of Architecture in London. From 2016 until 2018 she was teaching Urban Design at the University of Applied Sciences FH Campus Vienna. Since 2019 she is a postdoc research associate at the Professorship of Urban Design at the Technical University of Munich. She holds a PhD (2016) from the University of Art and Design in Linz and graduated from the ETH Zürich as Master of Advanced Studies (2011), Specialization in Housing, after completing her MA (2008) studies in architecture at the TU Vienna.

Main research interests are: housing, urban developments, urban studies, urbanism, urban planning,  suburbanisation, peripheries, urban transformations, everyday life, use of urban spaces, appropriation, participation, inhabitants, building life cycles, adaptation and appreciation of urban developments.
