Cully, Edward     1892 March 25th Trowbridge

 

An inquest was held on Monday afternoon at the Trowbridge police station, on the body of Edward Cully, aged 66, employed on the GWR as permanent way labourer. The deceased was about to paint a stop buffer, when the engine of the 7.30am train from Trowbridge to Swindon was backed and caught deceased between the chaffer and buffer block.

 

The jury returned a verdict of “Accidental death.”
