An inquest was held in the Council Chamber on Wednesday evening in connection with the sad death of Mrs Edith Barnes, a widow, of 13, Park Street, who after a walk in the town on Tuesday evening with her daughter, became ill in Park Street. She was taken home and died before the arrival of the doctor.

Dr Ward attributed death to heart failure, and a verdict in accordance with his evidence was returned.
