Mundy, Edward

Mundy, Edward            1904 Dec 30th              Chitterne

An inquest was conducted by Mr F A P Sylvester (deputy coroner) on Wednesday relative to the singular death of a child three years of age. The little fellow, Edward Sidney Mundy, a son of Mr Charles Mundy, of Two Barnes, Chitterne, scalded himself by drinking from a kettle of hot water on Saturday, and the parents, not thinking child was in danger, did not call in Dr Ward, of Codford, until the following day, when he saw that the case was hopeless.

The jury returned a verdict of death from shock through drinking scalding water from a kettle.
