Lucas, infant

 Lucas, infant    1902 January 10th

An inquest was held at the Council Chamber on Saturday evening respecting the death of the infant son of Walter Phillip and Maria Lucas, of 6, Garden Cottages, Culver Street.

The father, a horse slaughterman, said that the deceased was alright when he went to bed at 11.30, but it was found dead at half past four.

Dr Saunders attributed death to convulsions, and the jury, of which Mr Silverthorne was foreman, retruned a verdict of “Death from natural causes.”
