Brikell, Thomas            1884 February 9^th             Shaftesbury

An inquest was held on Wednesday on the body of Mr Thomas Brikell, a well-known market-gardener of Shaftesbury, whose body was found in a pond in that town on the previous day. Deceased, who had for many years attended Dorchester market, where he was very well known, it seems left his home about eleven o’clock in the morning, and after this nothing more was heard of him till the discovery of his dead body in a pond at Cottage Green.

The evidence as to how deceased came in the water being inconclusive, the jury returned a verdict accordingly.
