Canadians Ready for Round Two of Team Competition – the Individual Championship Test

The weather held out for all the Canadian Team members during their Team Test over the past two days.

Under very windy conditions Lauren Barwick, with Off to Paris, and Ashley Gowanlock, riding Maile, rode very strong tests placing third and 10th respectively yesterday.

The sun came out today and Eleonore Elstone and Jody Schloss had excellent, warm weather for their Team Tests during the second day of competition. Eleonore finished in 10th place, while Jody was 12th in her Paralympic debut!

The second round of team competition starts tomorrow – the Individual Championship Test. The best three scores from both tests will be added together to determine the final team placings.

Everyone is ready to go!

Getting ready to compete!

After two weeks of training and one international competition at Bishop Burton College (in Yorkshire, England), the Paralympic Team horses left on Friday morning for Greenwich Park.  Thanks to the expert early morning packing and loading from our stable team, the horses arrived in perfect time for their check-in.  The arrival process was incredibly efficient – all of the  horses were unloaded, checked by the vets, and enjoying the Greenwich scenery from their stalls in less than 15 minutes!
